Set in the early 1900s, and based on real events, No. 10 DOYERS STREET tells the story of a woman journalist from India who becomes embroiled in the case of a feared Chinatown gangster, Mock Duck, whose daughter is seized by the authorities.

Radha Vatsal is the author of the Kitty Weeks mystery novels set in World War I era New York.  Her essays have appeared in The Atlantic, The LA Review of Books, The Smithsonian Magazine, Kirkus Reviews (where she wrote a regular column on crime fiction), CrimeReads, and more.

Born and raised in Mumbai, India, Radha received her Ph.D. from Duke University where she studied Victorian literature and film history. She has discussed her work on NPR, public TV, and at libraries, bookstores and mystery panels across the country.
